House of small wonders in Berlin. House of small wonders is located at Johannisstraße 20, 10117 Berlin. It’s a bit out of the way if you are in the down town area (Alexanderplatz) but well worth the walk. The carpet looks like an antique Kashan -fourth quarter of the nineteenth century. Will set you back 20k for one in good condition.

Feeling that cold mountain air coming in through the window.  Perfection. Living in Switzerland (and being Swiss) Zermatt is amazing, it is truly the fairy winter place without feeling fake or super touristic (there are tourists don't get me wrong, but it isn't like disneyland). Also the village is completely car free.

The mouse hole was put in to the wall when the house was gutted by the owner. The light inside is motion activated an the wallpaper is vintage and from a flea market in England. Right?! Decorating it was meditative. Finding things that fit the scale and narrative was pretty fun. I now 100% get why people are so into creating miniature train towns.

This is in South End in Boston. This little guy is a very interesting relic, given that the South End is almost entirely brick townhouses. Very cozy indeed — can’t tell if it’s a private residence of its own or if it belongs to the building it’s connected to. Unique either way.

This was set up in the house to have an extra space for people who were staying for a night or two.

It was built in the 1960’s by a man who owned a lumber company.  Not surprisingly there are incredible wood floors and wood features throughout the house including the basement which has cypress walls.  I’ve been told cypress is now illegal to sell in the U.S. so its pretty unique.
