Almost any bonsai tree will die indoors. This is a major drag because bonsai trees are awesome. A Schefflera is not technically a bonsai (because they have a non-woody stem? Or some other reason.), but it looks like a mini tree, so it gets the job done. They are a tropical evergreen shrub, which would mean it is bonsai by this definition. "... an ornamental tree or shrub grown in a pot and artificially prevented from reaching its normal size." Anyway, these are tough and do well in low light conditions. You can water them daily, every other day, once a week? It doesn't really give a damn! Scheffleras are a no-go if you have pets that could possibly eat a plant. I have a Schefflera. The blue/red LED lights you see do not work more efficient than white 6500k lights. The overall gist of the colour codes is that you need 6500k lights (code 865) .
