It is situated on the edge of Shenzhen’s CBD and sets a new precedent for the successful 21st century transformation of commercial districts into vibrant and enriching environments. Completed at the end of 2011, the financial office tower was designed with a curving glass body and pointed tip. The curtain wall facade curls up at the base of the building to create a canopy over the entrance to the offices, while a shopping centre branches out from the other side. A hotel occupies the uppermost 25 floors of the 100-storey tower.
